This e-mail was received by us after our volunteers participated in a FEMA Search & Rescue drill held by Nevada Taskforce 1:
I hope the reports you receive from your volunteers were positive. From our perspective, they were just what the doctor ordered. They were all here early, attentive to our pre-briefings and made for a very realistic evening for our Responders who were going through the training.
Please convey our total appreciation for their efforts and willingness to help us out on a cold, windy evening out in the dark.
We look forward to working with them all again in the future. Next time I will try to give you just a little more advanced notice.

The next few months are going to be really busy for all of us CERT members! The notice for the March exercise has gone out, and there will be a request for help for both April and May. April's request will be for the Nevada Southern Railroad, helping with "Day out with Thomas" on two weekends. The one for May will be for the Helldorado Rodeo and Parade, about the middle of the month. Please watch for these blasts and respond if you can help. We are getting more and more popular because of the great work you are doing on various exercises and sites. Thanks again for your participation, we can't do it without you!
Many kudos from the organizations that participated in the rodeo for our CERT people. I heard comments about how well traffic flowed, how courteous, professional, and helpful the CERT personnel were, and how confident they were that they were headed in the right direction. A great job! Thanks so much for your participation!
We here at the CERT Program want to wish all of our present and future members a safe and wonderful Holiday season. Our best wishes for the New Year to all. There will be several drills during the first quarter of 2012, some large, some small. If you want to participate, watch your email and be prepared to respond quickly. Happy Holidays!
I received this email from Michelle at IAEM expressing her thanks for all the help from our CERT volunteers.
Thank you to all of you and the volunteers you provided to help fill the registration bags for the IAEM Annual Conference. Your volunteers were some of the best I have ever had assist, and we were done in a record amount of time. We couldn’t have done it without you all.
